Our Church

Happy Church PeopleTrinity Lutheran Church is:

A Christian Church

We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin and the Lord of our life.

A Confessional Church

We believe and confess that all of the Bible is God’s Word and therefore the only authority for Christian faith and life.

A Community Church

We are a growing family of neighbors sharing God’s love to meet each other’s needs.

A Caring Church

All feel “at home” when they visit our worship service. Everyone is treated as one of the “Trinity family.” We share our joys and our tears together.

The Mission of Trinity Lutheran Church

The purpose and mission of Trinity Lutheran Church is as follows:

At Trinity Lutheran Church, it is our mission to glorify God by growing in His Word and by going with His Word to Woodbridge and to the world.

We find our purpose, to glorify God, clearly set forth in these words from 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” It is our chief aim as Christians and a congregation to glorify him in all that we do.

One way by which we glorify him is by growing in his Word. As 2 Peter 3:18 encourages, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

Another way by which we glorify Him is by going with his Word. This is set forth in Jesus’ great commission in Matthew 28:19: “Go and make disciples of all nation.”

That this message should be shared with our community is evident in Jesus’ exhortation in Matthew 19:19 to “love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no greater gift of love that we can give to our neighbors and our community than the eternally life saving gospel of Jesus. That this message should also be shared to all creation is set forth in Jesus’ words from Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

WELS logoTrinity is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The WELS has congregations in all 50 states and several provinces of Canada. Mission work is carried out in countries throughout the world to seek the lost. In this Synod (the word means “walking together”) we are joined with other Christians, who believe and teach the same things that we believe and teach. This fellowship of faith enables us to accomplish many things that would be difficult or impossible if we stood alone.
